Here at Our Lady, Queen of the Universe, we have a diverse and growing music ministry. It is through music that we express peace, joy, and love with the Holy Word. We are committed to honoring the tradition of music in the Catholic Church while continuing spiritual growth in our Faith. CHILDREN: K-8TH GRADE
Children in choir will learn the foundations of proper vocal technique, including pitch-matching, vowels and registration, steady beat, and how to read modern notation.
Cherub Choir is for boys and girls K – 2nd grade. Rehearsals are TBD based on special events and Christmas Vigil Mass.
St. Cecilia Choir is for boys and girls 3rd grade – 8th grade. Rehearsals are Sundays 12:15 – 1:15 PM in the Music Room.

ADULTS: 9TH GRADE AND BEYOND
St. Mary Choir, the adult choir, sings at the 5 PM Mass on Saturday or the 10 AM Mass on Sunday. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 6:30 – 8 PM.
St. Francis Ensemble is for youth, 9th – 12th grade. This group sings at the Youth Mass, every fourth Sunday, at 4 PM. Rehearsals are on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 5 PM. The St. Francis Ensemble is invited to participate with the St. Mary Choir for special events.
Chapel Choir is made up of cantors who serve for all Masses individually and as a group for funeral and special services. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 6:30 – 8 PM.

Praise Team is a group specializing in contemporary and folk music for special social events. Rehearsals are announced based on events throughout the year.
Private voice lessons: Anyone who makes a commitment to any of our adult music groups is eligible for FREE private voice lessons.
INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC
Beginning Bells is a three month introductory class for learning handbells. Rehearsals are Thursdays at 5 PM. Bells will play for the Midnight Mass at Christmas and the Easter Concert. No experience needed.
Marian Ringers is an advanced handbell choir that plays on the first Sunday of each month. Rehearsals are Thursdays from 6:30 – 7:30 PM.
